For further research in a number of areas, we have also included a rather informal bibliography that is grouped into sections. At the top, we have included a listing of other Los Angeles community-based arts organizations and/or movements that might be of interest. Bibliography Sections:
This webpage provides links and a brief description of other online resources that may be useful or spark interest in other areas of community arts, Los Angeles or arts in general.
This webpage provides a list of discussion questions and suggested projects. The questions and projects are organized into general areas of focus. However, there is a great deal of overlap and some questions and projects can easily be used in a number of different ways depending on the overarching theme and lesson plan in your class.
NOTE: Other films of interest are listed in the bibliography. Also, the Leimert Park documentary is “chaptered” to facilitate the screening of shorter segments of the film in class.
